As a mom who used to read to her kids a LOT, I really connect to many ELearning projects. Most of the projects I narrate are quite a bit more technical than a children’s story book, but when I record eLearning modules my goal is still to entertain. I have a picture in my mind of the person who may be listening to what is often times, required training…and a lot of it is pretty dry stuff! So my goal is to keep it interesting and to keep them engaged. Reading to my kids at bedtime, the goal was to get them to fall asleep. Narrating eLearning, my goal is to keep people awake!
